Chartering Manager

Job Description:

To work on the Handy / Supramax desk in Singapore.
To continuously evaluate the market conditions.
To calculate and price shipping deals.
To negotiate and fix charter parties.
To maintain a good communication with the Oldendorff internal network (e.g. other offices and departments).
To maintain existing and develop new relationships with clients, brokers, agents, owners and charterers.
To closely follow the performance of voyages and work closely with the Operations Department.

Job Requirements:

Must have a minimum of 4 years experience in Chartering.
Experience on the Handy and Supramax trades is preferred, but not required.
Be self-motivated and independent, but able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
Have a commercial mindset combined with good interpersonal skills.
Be reliable, proactive and professional.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is required.
Able to travel internationally.
