Transloader newbuilding arrives in Abu Dhabi

Our transloader newbuilding M/V “Alfred Oldendorff” arrived in Abu Dhabi on 7th April 2015
She was delivered from New Yangzijiang Shipyard on 16th March 2015. The vessel is an eco type 94,000 tdw post-panamax selfunloading bulk carrier with 3 x 52 tons SWL side-mounted heavy duty MacGregor cranes with 45 m outreach, deck mounted belt system and hoppers for a transloading throughput of 3,500 t/h, 2 boom conveyers, dust collection system, bow and stern thrusters and accommodation for 40 persons.
After her arrival, she was double banking with the “E.Oldendorff” off Abu Dhabi for commissioning purposes. She will be joined by its sister vessel MV “Antonie Oldendorff”, which is scheduled for delivery ex New Yangzijiang Shipyard in May 2015. Both ships will be engaged in long term transshipment contracts with various clients in the Arabian Gulf, primarily involving lightering of Capesize bulkers.
