The Award goes to Oldendorff Carriers
We are happy to report, that BIMCO has awarded the prize "SHIPPING COMPANY OF THE YEAR" to Oldendorff Carriers. Wang Chengyu of CCS (China Classification Society) handed the award to Henning Oldendorff during BIMCO's Awards Dinner in Hamburg on 18th November 2015.
The judging panel has awarded it with the following reasoning: “Oldendorff Carriers is one of the biggest operators and owners in the bulk segment in the world serving more ports and destinations than any other and being profitable even in the current poor market”.
The award was accepted on behalf of our more than 3,500 employees of 60 nationalities, who have once again worked hard to achieve our ambitious goals this year.
They have created a "self-propelled" network of dedicated people, who have unprecedented authority to make their own decisions, learn from their own mistakes and enjoy the satisfaction and motivation, that their actions are bringing about.
BIMCO is the world's largest international shipping association with 2,200 members in 130 countries.
